Today, Savo Kusić’s offer is focused on timber windows, timber-aluminium windows, custom-made windows, doors and quotation requests. This text is retained as a historical blog article about checking the provenance of photographs; the display-cabinet example does not represent the current offer.
On the Internet, product photos are sometimes downloaded from other sites and presented without clearly indicating the source. A reverse image search can help find other pages where the same or similar photo appears.
Note: screenshots, command names, and Google Images interface are from the time this article was published. Today’s layout and steps may be different, and a search result in itself is not conclusive proof of authorship or ownership of a photograph.
Example 1: checking a photograph from the old website
Step 1. Copy the address of the photo
Right-click on the photo and select the command to copy its address. The name of the command depends on the browser.

Step 2. Open a reverse image search
Open Google Images and select the option to search by photo. In the old interface shown below, that option is marked with a camera icon.

Step 3. Enter the photo address
Paste the copied address into the provided field and start the search. The system can display pages where the photo appears and visually similar results.

Why we wrote this article
During the earlier period of furniture production, we noticed presentations in which photographs taken from other websites were presented as the company’s own work. One example at the time involved kitchen photographs from American and Italian websites being presented as the work of a company from Serbia.
Even companies that publish their own photographs and are active on social networks can become targets of fake profiles and unreliable business enquiries. For example, we received offers from Russia or through fake Facebook profiles asking for two or three product samples, with the expectation that we would send them and cover all costs. In one case, the profile of a person posing as a Serbian business owner in Italy used photographs from the website of a Macedonian boxer. A reverse image search was one indication that the profile required further checking.
Business verification should not rely on a photograph alone: check the identity of the company and contact person, the domain, public registers, references, delivery address and terms for sending samples.
